LiveFor a new rolled-metal company in Astana, I built a website that collects order requests and an admin panel to manage it. The site went live in three days, and all of its content is edited without a developer.
The challenge
The company was registered in 2026. It has no history or reviews on the market, and buyers don’t want to place a large metal order with a company they don’t know. The client needed a site that brings requests from search in Astana and builds trust at first sight. There were two extra conditions: the site had to run on a small, cheap server (1 CPU core, 1 GB of memory), and the client wanted to change prices, texts and images without asking a developer.
What I did
- Built a quote calculator: the buyer picks a product, size and quantity and sends a request in a few seconds; an “Other” option covers products not in the list. Requests land in the admin panel, and e-mail and Telegram notifications can be connected.
- Proposed building trust on verifiable facts: I removed figures like “15 years of experience” from the design mock-up and showed official company details, the bank, a real address and response time instead.
- Made the admin panel (the internal section that manages the site’s content): categories, price list (PDF and Excel), texts, images, SEO and incoming requests. Roles are separate: changing bank details and permanent deletion are open only to the owner; the manager works with everything else.
- Adapted the site to the small server: pages are stored as pre-built HTML (SSG) instead of being rebuilt on every visit, images are compressed once on upload, and changes made in the admin panel appear on the site right away.
- Laid the SEO groundwork (visibility in Google and Yandex): a separate page for each product category with wording aimed at “in Astana”, JSON-LD (machine-readable data about the company, products and FAQ), a sitemap and a separate file for AI assistants.
- Together with the client, we agreed to switch the design from the mock-up to the logo colours, burgundy and steel grey. The site has dark and light modes.
Results
- Live since 15 July 2026; the first code was written on 13 July.
- Lighthouse (Google’s page-quality test), mobile: SEO 100, performance 86, CLS 0 (CLS is how much elements shift while the page loads). Measured on the pre-launch build on 13.07.2026.
- On 20 July 2026 the client’s requirement “everything managed from the admin panel” was fully met: 18 category pages, the price list, texts and images are edited from the panel.
